The Week 2 matchup featured an explosive opening from Canutillo before the defending district champions settled in and took control. Canutillo landed the first big blow when Elijah Martinez intercepted Eastwood quarterback Kingston Jeffries and returned it 90 yards for a touchdown. Eastwood quickly answered, however, with Jeffries connecting with Adrian Lopez for a touchdown before Matthew Martinez broke loose for a 90-yard touchdown run, giving the Troopers the lead. Eastwood's offense continued to find its rhythm, with Jeffries and Lopez connecting for another score as the Troopers steadily extended their advantage. Eastwood ultimately finished with 617 total yards, including a dominant rushing performance from Matthew Ramirez, who accounted for 300 rushing yards and three touchdowns. The victory moved Eastwood to 2–0 on the season, while Canutillo fell to 1–1.
