Soles FC 09 did exactly that this weekend at the 2026 Alianza Tour stop in El Paso, once again rising to the top of the Girls U18 division at Westside Soccer Complex and claiming another championship trophy. For Soles FC 09, the victory represents a remarkable third consecutive championship in its team category, adding another chapter to what has become one of the club's signature accomplishments on the El Paso soccer calendar. The achievement is particularly impressive given what the Alianza tournament represents: a highly competitive gathering that brings together youth clubs and players from across the region while placing an emphasis on competition, community and opportunity. And for the Soles players pictured celebrating with the championship trophy, the three-peat represents much more than another medal. It represents consistency. Three Years. Three Championships. The Soles FC girls have made the Alianza stage their own. The club was already a champion at the El Paso event in 2024, when Soles FC captured the Girls U15 Copita Alianza championship. Now, as that generation has progressed into the U18 age group, the winning tradition has continued. The 2026 Copita Alianza structure includes a Girls U18 division for players born in the 2008–2009 age range, putting Soles FC 09 squarely among the tournament's older and more experienced youth competitors. Three straight championships in the same team category is no small accomplishment. It speaks to player development, continuity, preparation and — perhaps most importantly — the ability to handle the pressure that comes with being the team everyone wants to beat. For those outside the soccer community, the Alianza event is much bigger than a traditional weekend tournament. Alianza de Futbol was launched in 2004 with a mission centered on creating soccer opportunities for the Hispanic community in the United States. Over the years, it has developed into a national platform combining youth tournaments, scouting opportunities, women's and men's competitions, community events and player-development initiatives. The youth competition — Copita Alianza — is billed by Alianza as the largest Hispanic youth tournament in the United States, bringing together boys' and girls' teams across multiple age groups. The El Paso stop is part of a larger national Alianza Tour. The 2026 El Paso event runs September 11–13 at the Westside Soccer Complex and includes several components: Allstate Sueño Alianza — professional and collegiate scouting/tryout opportunities Copita Alianza — youth competition for boys and girls Copa Alianza — men's open competition ViX Alianza Femenil — women's open competition Alianza 5v5 — fast-paced small-sided competition That combination is what makes an Alianza weekend unique. According to Alianza, more than 100 players have advanced into professional academies through Sueño Alianza since 2004, while thousands more have participated in the organization's various competitions and programs. The El Paso stop has become an important part of that national footprint. The 2025 El Paso tour alone featured more than 580 players participating in Allstate Sueño Alianza tryouts and more than 195 teams competing across the tournament formats, with approximately 43,480 players, families and fans taking part in the overall three-day celebration. That's the backdrop against which Soles FC 09's accomplishment should be viewed. This isn't a small local tournament. It's a stage where clubs from the region come together, players compete for championships and aspiring athletes have opportunities to be seen.
