RANGERS ROAR PAST SEMINOLE, 44-34, IN LIGHTNING-DELAYED THRILLER

When the weather finally cooperated enough to finish Friday night's contest, Riverside had done enough to secure a 44-34 victory over the Seminole Indians, pushing the Rangers to 4-1 on the season and extending their winning streak to four games. For Riverside, the victory continued an impressive turnaround after opening the season with a narrow 44-41 loss to Parkland. Since then? Four straight wins. RANGERS KEEP ROLLING Riverside has been finding ways to put points on the board all season, and Friday was no different. The Rangers entered the matchup averaging more than 40 points per game and once again produced an explosive offensive performance against a Seminole team that had entered the night with a 2-2 record. The victory also continued Riverside's remarkable stretch dating back to last season. According to MaxPreps, the Rangers have now won 11 of their last 14 games, dating back to 2025. A NIGHT OF BIG PLAYS The Rangers' offense has been built around the ability to create explosive plays, and that formula continued against Seminole. Riverside's run game has been particularly dangerous throughout the 2026 campaign, helping the Rangers score 67 points against Irvin and 44 against Chapin earlier this season. The Seminole defense managed to keep the game competitive, but Riverside ultimately produced enough offense to maintain control and close out the 10-point victory. The result gives Riverside 210 points scored through five games, according to its current season schedule. FOUR STRAIGHT The Rangers' current winning streak includes victories over Irvin, Chapin, Bowie and now Seminole. That's a significant turnaround from Week 1, when Parkland escaped with a 44-41 victory. Riverside has responded by winning four consecutive games and improving to 4-1 overall. Seminole, meanwhile, falls to 2-3 and will have some additional time before its next contest. WHAT'S NEXT Riverside will return to action Friday, October 2, traveling to face Clint at 7 p.m. The Rangers then open district play October 9 against Ysleta, followed by district games against Andress, Austin and San Elizario. Seminole will have a longer break before returning October 9 against Fort Stockton. For Riverside, the message coming out of another weather-delayed Friday night is simple: The Rangers are rolling — and they're taking that momentum straight toward district play.
