GEPFS SET TO UNVEIL BIG ANNOUNCEMENTS AT OCTOBER 27 PRESS CONFERENCE

EL PASO, Texas — The road to the 34th Annual Greater El Paso Football Showcase (GEPFS) All-Star Game is about to take another exciting turn, as organizers prepare to reveal major announcements during a press conference scheduled for Tuesday, October 27, at the Nusenda Credit Union Westside Office. The press conference will begin at 12:00 p.m. at 7015 N. Resler Drive, located at the corner of Resler and Mesa, where GEPFS officials are expected to share new details about one of the region’s premier high school football all-star events. Among the most anticipated announcements are the new head coach for the All-Star Game, the event’s new title sponsor, and the official schedule of events leading up to the highly anticipated December showcase. Organizers have also promised additional surprises, with more details expected surrounding the upcoming player draft and All-Star Game festivities. The excitement will continue building toward Draft Day on November 22, 2026, when selected senior athletes will take another major step toward representing their schools and communities on one of the area's biggest high school football stages. The journey culminates on Saturday, December 19, 2026, with the 34th Annual GEPFS All-Star Game, featuring 92 senior all-stars from throughout the El Paso area. The athletes will be divided into two teams — Blue Thunder and Red Storm — for a showcase celebrating the talent, dedication and competitive spirit of the region’s graduating football class. Beyond the on-field competition, the Greater El Paso Football Showcase has become an opportunity to recognize the hard work of local athletes and bring together schools, families, coaches, supporters and the broader El Paso sports community. With a new head coach, a new title sponsor and additional event details waiting to be unveiled, the October 27 press conference could provide an important glimpse into what organizers have planned for this year’s showcase.
