EASTLAKE STAYS PERFECT: FALCONS FLY PAST BEL AIR 61-43

Eastlake remained unbeaten Friday night, defeating the Bel Air Highlanders 61-43 in a high-scoring El Paso showdown. The victory pushed the Falcons to 4-0 on the season, while Bel Air dropped to 1-3. For Eastlake, it was another night of offensive fireworks. WILLIAMS PUTS ON A SHOW Junior quarterback Julian Williams delivered one of the most productive performances of the young season, completing 26 of 31 passes for 419 yards and six touchdowns. Williams' ability to consistently stretch the field kept the Bel Air defense under pressure throughout the night. His favorite target was Albert Jones, who turned nine receptions into 137 yards and three touchdowns, providing Eastlake with a big-play threat whenever the Falcons needed to answer. The Falcons also found production on the ground from J. Melendez, who rushed for 118 yards and two touchdowns on 17 carries. Put it all together, and Eastlake's offense once again looked like a machine capable of putting points on the board in a hurry. BEL AIR KEEPS FIGHTING Credit to the Highlanders: they never simply disappeared from the contest. Bel Air entered Friday coming off a dominant 64-20 victory over El Paso, a performance that had the Highlanders riding momentum into the matchup with the unbeaten Falcons. Against Eastlake, Bel Air managed to put 43 points on the scoreboard — an offensive performance that would have been enough to win many games. It simply wasn't enough to keep pace with an Eastlake offense that crossed the 60-point mark. The result leaves Bel Air at 1-3, with the Highlanders now turning their attention toward the next opportunity. FOUR GAMES, FOUR WINS Eastlake's start to 2026 has been anything but quiet. The Falcons opened the season with victories over Del Valle, 41-27; El Dorado, 48-43; and Midland Lee, 51-48, before Friday night's 61-43 victory over Bel Air. That's 201 points through four games. And now comes the matchup many in the Borderland have been waiting for. NEXT UP: EASTLAKE vs. EASTWOOD The Falcons will put their 4-0 record on the line next Friday, September 25, against the Eastwood Troopers in a District 1-6A showdown. Eastwood enters at 3-1 after its 64-13 victory over Americas. Bel Air will look to regroup when it faces Bowie on September 25. For Eastlake, Friday was another offensive statement. 61 points.
