EL PASO, TEXAS — The road to the 34th Annual Greater El Paso Football Showcase All-Star Game takes another major turn on Saturday, November 21, when 92 of the region's top high school football players will officially learn which side they will represent. There will be no more wondering. No more What if? No more Who will I play with? At 1 p.m. inside the EPCC Auditorium, the 2026 Greater El Paso Football Showcase All-Star Draft will officially divide the field into two teams — the Red Storm and the Blue Thunder. And for 92 selected All-Stars, the moment will mark the beginning of something bigger than another football game. It will be the beginning of their final chapter as high school football players. RED STORM vs. BLUE THUNDER The concept is simple. 92 All-Stars. Two teams. The players selected for the 2026 Showcase will be drafted to either the Red Storm or Blue Thunder, creating two rosters loaded with talent from across the Greater El Paso region. Different schools. Different jerseys. Different backgrounds. But one common goal — represent El Paso football at the highest level. The Draft isn't simply about picking players. It's about creating teams. Coaches will have to look beyond the highlight reel and build rosters capable of competing together. Quarterbacks need receivers. Running backs need offensive linemen. Defenses need chemistry. Special teams need athletes willing to embrace the less glamorous jobs. That's what makes an All-Star Draft interesting. Talent gets you selected. Teamwork determines what happens next.
