EL PASO, TEXAS — The Borderland volleyball community has a chance to see NCAA Division I volleyball up close this Tuesday, September 22, as the UTEP Miners host the Arizona Wildcats at Memorial Gym. First serve is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. MT, with the matchup serving as UTEP’s final non-conference home contest of the 2026 season. UTEP’s schedule lists Arizona as the opponent for the September 22 home match, while Arizona’s official schedule confirms the Wildcats’ trip to El Paso. Arizona enters the matchup after an impressive comeback Friday night at San Diego State, rallying from a 2-0 deficit to win 3-2. The Wildcats used a strong blocking performance, recording 13 blocks, while Renee Jones led the offense with 11 kills. For UTEP, Tuesday represents an opportunity to close the non-conference portion of its schedule against a program coming off an NCAA Tournament appearance last season. Arizona returns eight letterwinners, including All-Big 12 honoree Carlie Cisneros, along with several key contributors.
