Chapin traveled to El Paso High School Wednesday night and delivered another dominant performance, sweeping the Tigers 25-16, 25-17, 25-16 to remain a perfect 5-0 in district play. The match was listed as a District contest at El Paso High, with first serve scheduled for 6 p.m. The Huskies entered the night riding a nine-match winning streak after sweeping Canutillo on Sept. 25, and the momentum continued against El Paso. πŸ”₯ CERECERES LEADS THE ATTACK Zoeh Cereceres once again powered the Chapin offense, finishing with a match-high 18 kills, along with 6 digs, 1 ace and 1 block. She was joined by a balanced group at the net: - Kaylee Vasquez: 10 kills, 4 blocks - Cayden Davis: 8 kills, 2 blocks - Veronica Resendez: 3 kills Behind them, Chapin's defense and serving game continued to make life difficult for the Tigers. Gianna Dominguez posted a team-high 19 digs and added 2 aces, while Alianni Romero contributed 9 digs and 2 aces. And running the offense was Adrienne Rodriguez, who finished with an impressive 35 assists, along with 2 aces and 3 digs. 🐾 TIGERS BATTLE, BUT HUSKIES CONTROL THE MATCH El Paso High received a strong effort from Maya Bemis, who recorded 7 kills, 1 block and 6 digs. Emma Rubio added 3 kills, while Phoebe Duchouquette also recorded 3 kills. Isabella Griffith finished with 2 kills, and Bella Del Val contributed 1 kill, 6 assists and 6 digs. Defensively, Crystal Gonzalez had 6 digs, while Gaby Lara finished with 7 digs, 2 assists and an ace. Zoe Strange added 6 assists and 5 digs. But Chapin steadily controlled each set, closing out the sweep 25-16, 25-17 and 25-16. 5-0 AND STILL ROLLING The victory continues what has been a remarkable September for the Huskies. Chapin entered the match 29-7 overall and 4-0 in district play, according to the latest available MaxPreps information. With Wednesday's sweep, the Huskies move to 5-0 in district play and complete the opening half of their district schedule undefeated.
