Gianna “Gigi” Dominguez has established herself as one of El Paso’s premier young defensive specialists, combining elite court awareness, relentless pursuit and a competitive mindset that has made her a standout for Chapin High School and TXP VBC.

A three-year varsity player and proud Class of 2028 UTEP Volleyball commit, Dominguez recently reached the 1,000-career-dig milestone, continuing a family volleyball legacy established by her older sisters, Ashley, who played at New Mexico State, and Megan, who played at Texas Tech.

Her defensive résumé includes Outstanding Defensive Specialist in District, Second Team All-City, All-Tournament honors at the Lubbock Tournament, and All-Tournament Defensive Player recognition at the Margaret Hussman Franklin Tournament. She has also earned recognition from Texas Prep as one of the Top Defenders and Top Servers in the Class of 2028, while her production has placed her among the national leaders in career digs for the Class of 2028.

Beyond the court, Dominguez is equally committed to academic and leadership excellence. She maintains a 3.8 GPA while participating in Student Council, the Class of 2028 Committee, National Honor Society, Student Ambassador, Captains Club and FCA.
